    This year’s seminar will focus on non-traditional negotiations — the situations, settings, and challenges that fall outside the norm. Attendees will engage in thought-provoking sessions led by experienced professionals and take away practical insights that can be applied in the field, on the phone, or within their own teams.

    Day 1 and Day 3 will feature a blend of speaker presentations, breakout discussions, and collaborative learning opportunities, concluding with an extended networking session after lunch on Day 3 to foster connection and shared growth among negotiators from all levels of experience.

    The 2026 Crisis Negotiator Challenge, hosted by the Bay Area Negotiator Group (BANG), is a one-of-a-kind competition that puts crisis negotiation teams to the test in dynamic, high-pressure scenarios modeled after real-world incidents.

    Over the course of a full day, teams will rotate through multiple live, simulated negotiations — each designed to evaluate communication, strategy, teamwork, and decision-making under stress. These are not tabletop exercises — they’re immersive, actor-driven experiences with layered intelligence, evolving threats, and realistic injects that mirror the complexities of today’s critical incidents.

    What to Expect:

    Multiple Scenario Stations: Teams face diverse situations ranging from suicidal subjects to barricaded suspects and emotionally volatile individuals.

    Live Role Players & Injects: Realistic characters, intelligence updates, and evolving tactical conditions that force adaptive problem-solving.

    Performance Scoring via ScenarioSync: Each team’s performance is evaluated in real time using ScenarioSync, BANG’s custom-built judging platform that measures communication, active listening, leadership, and team cohesion.

    Detailed Feedback: Receive comprehensive performance reports and debriefs designed to enhance your team’s operational readiness and resilience.
